About Yoga

Eightfold Path of Yoga

Please note that this is one interpretation and many other interpretations are out there.

Patanjali wrote The Yoga Sutra, considered one of the fundamental texts on Yoga. The eightfold path of Yoga is as follows

Yamas (moral codes of conduct: non-violence, truthfulness, non-stealing, non-excess, desire-free)
Niyamas (inner discipline: purity, contentment, self-discipline, study, devotion)
Asanas (physical poses)
Pranayama (breath expansion and control)
Pratjahara (sense control and withdrawal)
Dharana (concentration)
Dhyana (meditation)
Samadhi (contemplation or Divine union)

You Can Do Yoga!

ANYONE can do Yoga! Some of the idealized poses may look like you need to be super-bendy; however, there are so many different poses in Yoga. All poses (Asanas) have several modifications to suit individual needs. There are also additional modification we can find to suit you; or a different pose altogether that works better for you. Yoga is for EVERYONE!
